The Airdrop Pool
40,000,000 $XRO (4% of total supply) is reserved for the community airdrop, rewarding early contributors who helped build the network before the token existed.- 50% unlocked at TGE (20,000,000 $XRO)
- 50% vests over 6 months post-TGE
How Points Work
Every contribution to the Roam Network earns Roam Points. The same points system will be used for contributing to the Roam Network after the TGE. The main difference is that only users contributing to the Roam Network before the TGE are eligible to receive tokens in the airdrop. Roam Points are:- Non-transferable: earned only through genuine network contribution
- Cumulative: every validated data submission adds to your total
- Weighted by quality: contributions in underserved areas, high-value zones, and diverse data types earn more
From Points to Tokens
Shortly before TGE, a snapshot captures every contributor’s cumulative point balance. Your share of the airdrop pool is calculated as: The snapshot date will be announced in advance to ensure transparency. After the snapshot, points reset and the post-TGE epoch-based contributor rewards system takes over.Timeline
| Phase | What Happens |
|---|---|
| Now → Snapshot | Earn points by contributing data through the Roam app |
| Snapshot | All point balances are recorded on-chain |
| TGE | 50% of your airdrop allocation is claimable immediately |
| TGE + 6 months | Remaining 50% vests linearly and becomes fully claimable |
Maximising Your Allocation
The airdrop is pro-rata, meaning that the more you contribute relative to everyone else, the larger your share. The best strategies:- Start early: points accumulate from the moment you begin contributing
- Stay consistent: regular daily contributions compound over time
- Explore new areas: the quality weighting system rewards coverage diversity over repetition
- Refer others: referral bonuses accelerate point accumulation
